How mentoring with Kishreena works, the rules that keep everyone safe, and where to log your sessions. You don't need to be a perfect mentor. You just need to be honest, present and kind.
One young woman (18+) in India, introduced through our partner organisations. Everything happens on video.
30 minutes. Get to know each other and agree on one goal. Book all your remaining dates before you hang up.
1 hour of hands-on work on her goal, using your real expertise.
1 hour. Keep working on the goal and review what she's done since.
1 hour. Finish the work and write her plan together: three next steps with dates.
30 minutes. See how her plan is going and say a proper goodbye. If her goal isn't done, you can both choose to add up to three more sessions.
Before each call, we send you a short note with its goal and what to ask. No preparing from scratch.
Each mentee chooses one track before she's matched. You choose the tracks you're comfortable with, and you'll only be shortlisted for mentees on those tracks.
Resume, interviews and applying for roles. Session work might be a resume review or a mock interview.
A master's in India or abroad. Session work might be shortlisting programmes or improving her statement of purpose.
What a career is really like, day to day. Session work might be walking her through real work from your job.
Safety runs both ways: it protects the young woman, and it protects you.
All sessions on Kishreena's Google Meet. Never personal apps or WhatsApp.
Every session is recorded, with consent, and stored securely.
You get a Kishreena email address, and Kishreena is copied on emails. No personal contact details.
No money, gifts or financial requests, in either direction. This one is absolute.
You and your mentee agree times by Kishreena email, with Kishreena copied. Never privately.
No in-person meetings are arranged through Kishreena.
Every mentor completes a short training and signs our Code of Conduct before being matched. Here's what it asks of you.
Anything at all, big or small, about her or about you, has one simple route. Reporting a concern is never overreacting.
Log each call right after it happens, and see every session you've logged and the hours you've given.
Session logging opens soon. Until then, email your session notes to kishreenafoundation@gmail.com.

A young woman aged 18 or over in India, introduced through one of our partner organisations. Many are the first in their family to aim for a professional career. She chooses you from a shortlist of mentor profiles.
No. Before each call we send you a short note with its goal and a few questions to ask. You bring your experience; we bring the structure.
You and your mentee agree times by Kishreena email, with Kishreena copied. Before you finish the intro call, book the dates for all three sessions and the wrap-up.
Email your mentee (with Kishreena copied) as early as you can and offer two new times. If anything gets stuck, email us and we'll help.
Mentors offer guidance, not jobs, referrals or money. Please don't make promises. Belief in her and honest advice are what make the difference.
After you sign up, we email you the training (about 20 minutes) and a short 5-question check. You'll be matched once both are done.
